It will be Elsie’s first Christmas this year, she will be 6 months old! It is so hard to know what to buy a baby for their first Christmas. You want something they are going to be able to play with, but also something they won’t grow out of in a week! Whilst babies don’t need loads of Christmas presents, it is still nice to buy them a gift they can open.
Below are some of the gifts that we have bought for Elsies first Christmas.
Tomy Toomies
These are a classic toy for babies, the Tomy Hide & Squeek Eggs. They are suitable from 6 months but can be played with far beyond that. I would say that Zac enjoyed playing with these until he was over a year old. They are a great quality toy from a well known brand, so you know they are going to last too!
Story Book Rhymes
The Fisher Price Storybook Rhymes, is a great interactive toy, suitable from 6 months. It lights up and sings songs, so great for engaging small people. But it can also be used up to the age of 3 as it is educational too, bonus! IT teaches letters, numbers, shapes, colours and first words! It is really durable, so you won’t have to worry about it being dropped.
Sensory Glove
I saw this Nursery Rhyme Glove Puppet in B&M and just knew it would be a perfect Christmas gift for baby! It is super soft, so suitable from birth. We all love singing and teaching our little ones nursery rhymes, so this is a great way to make it a bit more interactive and fun. I’m sure Zac will love getting involved, playing with this too!
First Christmas Book
This personalised First Christmas book from Wonderbly is so sweet. I am probably going to pop this in Elsies Christmas Eve box. It is a lovely keepsake, to remember her first Christmas. They also have lots of other personalised books to choose from, if you didn’t want it to be limited to Christmas.
Baby Sensory Toys
Sensory toys are perfect for babies first Christmas. There are lots of different options which are age appropriate and can aid their development. This set from Lovevery is perfect! You simply select babies age on their website and they have a box full of goodies which are ideal for that age group! The box Elsie is playing with in this photo is the 5-6 months box. She loves everything in there, the tissue box is a personal favourite! Their sets go all the way up to 36 months, and you can even choose to receive them as a subscription.
