This Year Zac will be 3 years old at Christmas, so I thought I would share some great Christmas gift ideas for 3 year olds. These are all gifts that we have got him for Christmas and think he will love! It can be difficult to know what to buy a toddler for Christmas, They can have so much already. You also want gifts that are going to be used and last, not just be a 1 minute wonder.
Games
This year we decided to buy Zac some games that we can all play as a family. I think it is important to remember to take the time to actually sit and play with him, and these games are perfect for us all to play!
First is Pop Up T-rex by TOMY. This is a fun twist on the classic Pop up Pirate which I remember playing as a kid! Zac loves dinosaurs so I think he will love this. It is recommended for ages 4+ but as Zac is almost 4 and it is quite simple to play, I think he will be able to play this. It also means that it is going to last him and it won’t be something he grows out of quickly.
We have also got him some Orchard Toys board games, including; Old MacDonald Lotto and Dino-Snore-Us. We have a few Orchard Toys board games already and Zac plays with them all the time, they are the perfect first board games for toddlers!
Food & Drink
Zac loves getting involved and helping in the kitchen. He wants to bake cakes and help with dinner all the time. So I thought it would be nice to get him some gifts where we can make things together.
I thought these Chocolate Dinosaur Lollipops from Choc-on-Choc would be perfect! They come with everything you need to melt and make your own chocolate lollipops. I mean chocolate and dinosaurs every toddlers dream right?!
If you have a child, like mine, who asks for an overpriced slush puppy everywhere you go then this is the perfect gift! It is a slushie making cup! It is nice and simple for Zac to do as well; just pop the cup in the freezer with some water, add the syrup and then stir!
Educational Toys
Its nice to try and get them something that is going to be educational and help with their development, especially with Zac starting school next year.
Who remembers MathLink Cubes?! Maths lessons were always more fun when these come out! Zac is really good with his numbers, so I thought these would be perfect to now start exploring his addition and subtraction. They also come with cards that have lots of prompts and activities. I know these are going to be something that last years!
Car Tracks
What toddler doesn’t love a car track? Zac has really got into Super Mario recently (thanks Youtube), so he asked for some Super Mario toys for Christmas, but a lot of them were too old for him. Then I came across this Mario Kart 1st track. It is a scalectrix style track, witch a one button controller so really easy to use. It think all the men are going to have fun playing with this Christmas Day! They also have a Paw Patrol and Disney Cars version in B&M!
Aquabeads
I absolutely loved Hamma beads and aquabeas when I was younger. When I saw that Aquabeads were recommended for age 4+ I knew Zac would love these. e has been doing colour by numbers In school recently and I thought this just takes that to a whole new level. I am sure he will love squirting the little water bottle too! This cute little starter set is only £7.99 !
Marble Run
Zac loves marble runs, you can get lots of cheap and cheerful sets on Amazon. But his favourite track by a mile is his Gravitrax by Ravensburger. Now this is recommended for ages 8+ and there is absolutely no way Zac could build it himself. But to be honest he can’t really build any marble run by himself. But the Gtravitrax sets are more than just a marble run, they are pretty fascinating to watch! They are great for adults too, even me and Ricky enjoy building them. Thats what makes this the perfect gift as it is something you can play together. Zac already has the starter set, so this Christmas we have got him the new Gravitrax Pro set.
Amazon Echo Dot Kids
Most houses have an Alexa device these days. It can’t only be my child who knows how to talk to her. Zac is always asking her to make animal sounds or play music. So I thought this cute kids version, the Echo Dot Kids, would be perfect for his bedroom! I love that it includes 1 year of Amazon Kids subscription and has parental controls! Bonus: it comes in 2 cute designs, a tiger or a panda.
Stocking Filler
Lastly, I thought I would share a little stocking filler idea. It can be hard to think of small gifts that are actually going to get used and not broken or thrown the next day. I thought this little dinosaur torch and projector from the Natural History Museum was a really cool little toy! perfect for dinosaur lovers.
I hope this has given you some Christmas gift ideas for 3 year old !
Thank you for reading and have a lovely Christmas!
