Cleaning Toddler Stains

Cleaning Toddler Stains

It’s not till you become a mum you realise how important stain removal is! Children get through enough clothes as it is without having to throw away outfits because of grassy knees and tomato stained collars.

We are currently working With Ace cleaning and I am so impressed with their range! They have a product for everything!

Top Tip: For stained clothes always wash with Bio washing detergent/tabs (You can wash again with non bio again after)

Dirty bums and knees are very common once little ones start crawling and toddling! But a couple of tablespoons of the Ace for Colours powder in the wash removes stains without fading colours! For really tough stains I mix 1 tablespoon of the powder with 6 tablespoons of warm water and rub into the stain and leave for 5 minutes before putting the item in the machine.

Weaning may be fun but it can also be messy, and tomato sauce stains are the worst! For tough pasta stains I pre-treat with Ace for colours liquid, rubbing it in for a few minutes. I then leave it to soak for an hour in solution of warm water mixed with 100ml Ace for colours liquid.

I then wash as normal (For really tough stains I will spray with Ace Stain Remover Spray and add some Ace for colour powder to the wash).

Top Tip: For tough stains like this always try to wash straight away (within 24 hours)

What’s worse than pasta stains? Curry and tomato pasta stains on white!

Ace for Whites liquid keeps whites bright! I add it to every whites wash. For tough stains like these I pour some of the liquid directly onto the stain and leave it to soak for 3 minutes before washing as normal.

Zac loves cheese and pickle sandwiches! But this can result in stained sleeves. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to wash this vest straight away so it was left for a couple of days before treating.

In order to get it out I have to bring out the strong stuff! The Ace Power Mousse contains bleach so should only be used on white clothing. I sprayed on the stained white areas and left to soak for 5 minutes. I then washed in the machine with some Ace for Whites liquid.

Top Tip: If you still notice any slight discolouring/stains on white clothing after washing, hang outside the sun will help fade this!

I hope this has helped with those tough toddler stains! IF you do use any of these tips/methods then tag me in your posts!

I have never seen ace products before but it sounds like they work. Sunlight though, such a good trick, no idea how that works!
