Paradise Wildlife Park Review

Paradise Wildlife Park Review

For Zac’s first birthday we were very kindly gifted a family pass for Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne.
We have been to the park a few times in the past as a couple, (I’m the kinda girl if you asked me what my dream first date is I would say a trip to the zoo!), but this was our first time taking Zac to a Zoo.

Animal Park

The Animal park is smaller than some other large Zoo’s we have been to but I think this makes it perfect for smaller children. There are less big animals such as elephants, giraffes and rhinos (which can often only be seen in the distance) and more smaller animals like meerkats, penguins and birds which you could get a closer look at. This made it a much more up close and personal experience.

From the moment we got there Zac was so excited (Making lots of oo and wow sounds, It was so funny!). The first animals we came across were the meerkats, to say Zac loved them is an understatement – we had to go back and see them again on our way out.

Meetkats

It was great that the viewing windows for a lot of the animals were quite low down. This meant that Zac could stay cosy and warm in his pram whilst still being able to see the animals. The only time we had to get him out was to go up to the viewing stations for the big cats.

Some of Zac’s favourite animals were the meerkats, penguins and Wallabies. Again these were low down and really easy for him to see. He loved standing in front of the Wallaby enclosure.

Lunch

For lunch we headed to Safari’s Sam café, where they serve hot and cold food (They also have baby changing here). For 2 meals with drinks for me and Ricky it came to about £15 which I would say is average for a day out. They do also have outside picnic areas if you wanted to bring your own food and save some money!

World of Dinosaurs

World of Dinosaurs

The World of Dinosaurs was by far one of Zac’s favourite parts of the day. There was every kind of dinosaur you could think of on display and each dinosaur had a plaque with information about them. This would be perfect for any dino enthusiast children! The dinosaurs were so life like and all moved and made noises – they even blinked and you could see them breathing. Zac was fascinated by them (I wonder if he thought they were real?!)

Dino World
This was a great area for photo opportunities as well. Not only are you surrounded by life size dinosaurs you can take selfies with but there are lots of props around. Zac loved sitting in the dino car and it made some of the best photos of the day! The area also has it’s own free Wi-Fi to make sure you can upload all of your selfies to your social media!

Another great attraction is the Rex Express. This is a little train which takes you on a ride around The World of Dinosaurs. Zac absolutely loved this! It was so lovely seeing his little face as we rode past all of the dinosaurs, he even tried to reach up to a few of them! The ride also allows you to get closer to some of the dinosaurs. It is only £2 per person to ride the train and Zac went free.

Soft Play

The park even has it’s own soft play! This is a great place to head to finish the day – or to take shelter from the rain! They have a little area for smaller children which has some soft play shapes, balls and a busy board. We spent a bit of time here before we went home as it was starting to rain.

Overview

We had an amazing day at Paradise Wildlife Park celebrating Zac’s First Birthday. I think he was the perfect age to go and thoroughly enjoyed himself. There is something for everyone and is suitable for kids (and adults!) of all ages! We will definitely be returning to take a look at their new animal enclosures and new dinosaurs which they were working on while we were there!

Thank you Paradise Wildlife Park for gifting us these tickets.

Thanks for reading our review!
