Wooden Dolls House Review

Zac loves pretend play and using his imagination. He has recently started to take an interest in small figures. So I thought a dolls house would be perfect for him to play with. However, when I first started looking for a wooden dolls house, I found that most are marketed towards girls and very pink! Although there is nothing wrong with pink for a boy, it certainly doesn’t fit in with Zac’s bedroom décor!

Then I came across Petite Amelie, a French nursery accessory and toy store. They stock lots of gorgeous wooden toys and sustainable products. I absolutely fell in love with their Wooden Dolls House with Furniture Set. It has a gorgeous minimalistic design, with a grey, white and natural wood theme. The completely open front making all areas of the house easily accessible.

Doll House Size

It is fairly large standing at 81cm high and has four floors. This means there is plenty for Zac to explore, it is almost as tall as him when he is standing up! There are different room themes on each floor. There is a bathroom, study, kitchen, dining room, lounge, bedroom and even an outdoor balcony!

Dolls House Furniture

The house comes with a 19 piece furniture set which compliments the house beautifully. They are all neutral in colour and fit in with the room themes. There is a toilet, desk and chair, sofa set, fridge, rocking horse and even a bed with cute miniature pillows and a duvet.

There is so much detail in every inch of this house. The walls are designed beautifully, each floor has different ‘wallpaper’, there are photo frames and shelves on the walls and even a log burner. The detail doesn’t stop with the inside of the house, there is even shutters drawin on to the outside windows.

The house and all pieces of furniture are really well made. I love that this is a toy which Zac can get lots of use out of, I can see him playing with this for years to come – and then possibly passing it down to any future younger siblings! The dolls house is recommended for ages 3 plus but Zac plays with this supervised and has so much fun.

We completed the dolls house with the cutest little personalised wooden peg dolls from Script & Ivy. They are bespoke made to look like our little family and our 2 cats are even included!
