Have you heard about the new children’s TV show, 44 Cats?
If not then you definitely need to give it a watch (well, let your little ones watch it!). It is already hugely popular in Italy and is now hitting screens in the UK!
The show follows the daily adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou, and Meatball. These 4 cute cats make up the musical band: The Buffycats.
As soon as I put it on for Zac he was mesmerised. It’s really bright, fun and upbeat with lots of singing and dancing! Zac was smiling and dancing the whole way through.
What is great about the show is that each episode has an underlying message of friendship, diversity and helping others. The four cats split their time between singing in their garage band and overcoming neighbourhood bullies.
The cats get special powers from their grandmas pasta dish.
Their lighthearted and comical super powers include:
Milady – Fur turns from pink to purple when someone is lying
Lampo – Whiskers act like a compass.
Pilou – The ability to look REALLY cute and distract villains
Meatball – Can sense danger when his tummy rumbles
The first episode is really sweet as the cats all work as a team to help their friend Cosmo achieve his dream of visiting the moon. I love that the cats are good role models and Zac will subconsciously be taking all of this in.
The show is available to watch on Nick Jr every weekday at 1pm and 8pm. Don’t worry if you only have Freeview as it is also now available on POP! Each episode is about 15 minutes long so the perfect length for children, especially those like Zac with a short attention span!
